Amazing Skin Benefits Of The Konjac Plant

What is Konjac?

Grown in the tropical to subtropical regions of East Asia The Konjac potato (Konnyaku) is a perennial which can be found growing wild at very high altitudes. The plant is naturally alkaline, which leaves skin perfectly balanced.

If you haven't tried this gentle little powerhouse yet, prepare to up-level your skincare game in a major way. And if you're already obsessed like we are... the more you know the better, right?

Konnyaku has been used in Korea, Japan and China for over 1,500 years as medicine, food, a dieting aid and a beauty product, with the plants starchy root being an all natural powerhouse as its rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D, and E, proteins, lipids, and fatty acids, as well as minerals zinc, magnesium, and iron!

Due to the plant's claimed health giving properties, the Konjac Sponge was originally created for delicate baby skin

Our Konjac Sponges are even infused with Bamboo Charcoal to reduce inflammation and tighten pores or French Green clay to help remove excess oil & skin impurities.

Amazing Skin Benefits

It's a powerful, natural exfoliant. The composition of the Konjac root creates a natural cleanser that removes dirt, oil, and even makeup! It gently unclogs pores, and can aid getting rid of blackheads without drying out the skin, plus it can be used by itself, or with your favourite coconut soap.

It is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin. The fibers of the Konjac root absorb water easily, which gives the sponge a fine texture and means the fibers do not directly touch the skin no matter how hard you might rub. The Japanese originally used Konjac root on babies so is perfectly soft & delicate for the most sensitive of skins.

These little sponges can help tightens pores, help tone the complexion, help revitalise damaged skin cells and helps promote skin hydration. When Konjac is applied to the skin, it penetrates the first layer of epidermis and brings hydration to the surface. This can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and the effects of aging on the skin, replenishing its natural lifting collagen.

What ever skin type you are these are the perfect partner for amazing skin and the feel fabulously silky smooth when using them. Why not try out a Konjac Sponge for yourself?
